Hi uses PHP’s standard FTP functions – – and therefore will work fine (as any other PHP-based FTP program does, that is) as long as your network is set up correctly. I am thinking not after a whole afternoon of my time wasted trying.ĭon’t waste your time if your ISP blocks port 21 as this plugin will NOT connect to any non-standard port no matter WHAT syntax you use.

DOES THE FREE VERSION even support non-standard ports? I tried connection testing using the format 111.222.333.444:21021 in the “FTP Server: section but always the same result not matter what settings I tried on my end.Īlso, I noted that the error message comes up immediately when using port 21021 but when using port 21(default) the error takes a LOT longer and times out because, of course, as I said my ISP blocks port 21.

(as I said I KNOW how to port-forward and setup an FTP server) I could instantly connect with ANY FTP client both locally on the LAN and from external IP’s as well. So, I setup my FTP Servers to use port 21021. Now, I, like many, am running a residential contract with my ISP and they block port 21. No matter what I tried(and I KNOW the free version doesn’t support secure connections) I could only get this plugin when testing to say, “FTP Setting Test Result: Failure: we did not successfully login with those credentials”. I disabled “secure settings” on the servers here as per the documantation and what I was able to google about this free version to no avail. I am experienced running all kinds of servers and fully understand about PASV port ranges/port forwarding etc etc… been doing this sort of thing for decades. All Windows firewalls are disabled by GPO, so I defintely think it has somehting to do with the SonicWALL configuration and I have their IP address if i need to set up specific thigns on the firewall for filtering. It's the internal network where it stops, and what it stops on is the "Initializing TLS" phase below, what is supposed to happen next is the SSL cert from them will pop up and i have to click OK to accept, it never pops up on any internal computer on our network. I am convinced it's something with our firewall blocking it, we have a SonicWALL TZ210 and I also have a guest WiFi network here which does not have access to the internal network, the firewall just gives it internet access and hands out IP's via DHCP, the FTP site connects fine on WiFi here. with Filezilla, but not on our work network and since I'm the sysadmin I've got the wonderful task of figuring this out. OK, so I have an FTPS site that i am trying to connect to since it' s for a vendor and currently I can connect to it from home, etc.
